One Year!

Happy Birthday Baby Boy!!!  We cannot believe that you already one!  Where did the time go?  It is hard to believe this year has passed.  We fall deeper and deeper in love with you everyday.  Little man, each day you with you seems more fun than the previous day.  You are so curious about everything and you love to crawl and climb on all over the place.  Adventurous should be your middle name because nothing is off limits in your mind! 

Some of your favorite toys are your CAT trucks that play music and move.  When the music plays on the truck you love to dance and clap.  You love the ball house Nana and Grandpa bought you for your birthday.  You will go in there and throw all the balls out the window, climb out the window, then put all the balls back in the house.  It cracks us up every time you do it!  

Your favorite foods are carbs and cheese, just like your momma and dadda.  If you had it your way you would eat nothing but cheese and noodles.  Cheesy grits is also a new favorite.  For breakfast you like cheesy eggs or toast, lunch is typically almond butter and jelly sandwich or lunch meat and veggies, and dinner you typically have what we have.  You are definitely you father's son because you love to eat a lot!  You and I have been working on weaning but you are not a fan of cow's milk...in fact when I give it to you it usually throw it up and make a sour face!  I keep trying by giving you cereal and milk hoping that one day you will be able just drink milk instead of me sneaking it in cereal or grits. 

The big milestones you have hit for now have been cruising, you walk along the couch and wall until you settle into a place where you are happy to play.  Occasionally you get a little tired in your quest and will stop and rest by lying down face first on the floor with your arms spread wide.  After a few seconds you resume your journey and are all smiles again! Another milestone would be your teeth, you have 4 top teeth showing and three bottom!    

When meeting new people now you like to pretend that you are shy but give a coy smile and laugh.  Such a change from when you wouldn't let anyone hold you but your momma.  In fact you will now go up to people and pull on their legs, and you even let other people hold you.  However, you only allow them to hold you for a second because typically now you want to be moving around and cruising not carried.   

This year has by far been the most amazing year of our life.  You make us smile, laugh, and bring a new meaning of happiness to our life!  Grant, your laugh is contagious and you have a way of flirting and smiling which makes everyone fall in love with you.  You are more cuddly than ever and give the best snuggles.  Each morning you come into our bed and snuggle, it couldn't be any better!  We love you and cannot wait to see what this year brings for you!!!  Happy Birthday!
