Happy Birthday Little Man!!! To celebrate Grant's big day we decided to go out to eat for lunch and spoil him with some birthday shopping! The day started at Caleba's where we went through the giant catfish tanks and taxidermy exhibits. Grant loved it and was talking loud enough for everyone to hear just how happy he was.
Lunch was at the T-Rex cafe where inside the restaurant is a life sized t-rex and long neck dinosaur. Grant was taken back and fascinated by the fact that they moved. For lunch Grant had a grilled cheese sandwich with mash potato side. Lunch was good and the portions were huge! After lunch several servers came to our table to sing Grant the best birthday song. He stared in amazement and confusion as to why people where loudly singing and clapping around him. The confusion quickly left when Grant got his birthday treat of ice cream and a cookie.
To walk off all our lunch calories we did a little shopping. Grant got some new clothes and shoes. G was in desperate need of shoes especially because we had been putting him in the wrong size shoe. Apparently, Grant inherited ski's for feet from me! Good to know that he got something of me!!!
Once we came home we stopped by our neighborhood picnic. Jeff and Grant played on the playground and walked around the park. I love watching them walk together and play at the park. When Grant laughs after going down the slide it melts my heart!
After a long day we made it home. We still had a few more surprises for Grant! He got to open his presents from us, Nana and Grandpa, and GranGran. We bought Grant a stride to ride dinosaur walking toy. Nana and Grandpa got him a ball house with over 100 balls! GranGran got him the no spill bowl that is all over the tv and a saving bonds! Grandparents really are the best!
The cherry on the sundae birthday was singing Grant happy birthday and giving him his birthday cupcake and ice cream. He was clearly in heaven with his cupcake and ice cream! Grant loves his birthday and we were very happy to celebrate in big fashion with our little man!
He loved his birthday!!!
