To celebrate Easter we had to dye Easter eggs. We knew the activity would be messy but we had no idea to what extent. Coleman handled the activity like a seasoned pro, in fact he didn't even wake up for the event! Grant thought the activity was the coolest thing ever. He helped me boil the eggs and kept saying "hot, hot, hot," while wearin the oven mit. Once the eggs were ready we put together the dyes and Grant was ready to go! Each time he got the egg he would attempt to eat the hard boiled egg and wash down the egg with the dye. Good thing the dye was just coloring and water! Grant absolutely thought the best part of coloring was eating the eggs!
It also wouldn't be Easter if we didn't do an Easter egg hunt. Our village put together a hunt for the neighborhood kids. Grant had the best time. We had been practicing for several weeks and Grant nailed it come hunt day! He was a natural out there and even would run to gather the eggs and toss them in his basket. Occassionally he would take an egg out of his basket and shake it wildly before throwing it on the ground. It was perfection watching Grant understand and get into the egg hunt!
