It is very important to us to have a real Christmas tree each year. For me, growing up in Washington having a real tree is like leaving cookies out for Santa, it is a MUST! Jeff has adopted my craziness and accepted that I need to have a real tree regardless of the cost. This year we headed to a local tree farm to pick out and chop down the best tree. The day happened to be extremely cold and windy...not ideal for walking around a tree farm. After about 15 minutes of no luck hunting for the perfect one we made the decision to go straight for the pre-cut trees and grab one that looked good versus trek around the farm!
When we got home Jeff and I decorated the top half of the tree while Grant took a nap. The bottom half of the tree needed to be G friendly so it consisted of candy canes, and a couple of plastic ball ornaments. The best part of Grant sleeping during the decorating process was seeing his face for the first time when he realized there was a tree decorated with lights in his living room. Each time he looks at the tree is screams ball and points until we pick him up and show him each ornament!
