Father's Day Weekend

Over the weekend was Jeff's first Father's Day!  I was determined to make it special for him because you only celebrate your first father's day once!!  I made arrangements for us to go to the New Belgium and Anheuser Busch brewery in Fort Collins. I had also planned for us to spend the night so we could make the most of the weekend.

The breweries were tons of fun and we got to sample some fabulous beers!  New Belgium had a slide inside which made the tour fun for Grant since Jeff took him down it.  At Anheuser Busch we got to see the clydesdales and walk around the grounds.  We didn't want to do the tour since Grant hadn't had a nap and it would have pushed him too far.  Instead we just sampled beer on the patio outside and let Grant crawl in the grass. 

On our way home we stopped in Denver to go to the Butterfly Pavilion.  Grant had a great time.  To hold the tarantula at the Pavilion you have to be at least three years old, so Jeff held Grant on his lap and he held the spider.  Grant now is the proud owner of the sticker "I held Rosie!"  He also loved seeing all the creatures at the museum.  His favorite was definitely the fish tank because he would try to touch all of the colorful fishes!

The Anderson's also came up on Saturday and joined us for the brewery tours.  It was so much fun to have them there!  Archer had fun running all around and seeing the clydesdales at Anhesuer Busch.  Aubrey and Grant also did a little modeling in the grass for us!

Jeff definitely had a great first Father's day and was spoiled!  To put the cherry on the weekend sundae we went to dinner on Sunday night with the Bethels and Robers.  It was a fun weekend and now the bar has been set pretty high for future father's days!
