Our friends the Perzels bought a speed boat when they moved here to Kansas. We met them because Jeff and Pete are in small group at school together. They are a super sweet couple and have adorable little girls. To try to beat the heat before fall sets in they invited us out on their boat for the afternoon. We packed up some lunches and headed out to Smithville Lake.
At first we were a little nervous as to how Grant would do on the boat. He loved the kiddie boat ride at World's of Fun so we were hoping that it would be a similar experience, and we were right! Grant took to the boat like a fish in water. There were even times when we had to hold him extra tight because he continued to reach over the side to touch the water!
When Jeff jumped into the water to swim I stayed in the boat holding Grant. And that is when Grant very firmly expressed that he NEEDED in that water! Once in the water he was splashing and kicking with joy. He was in serious heaven!
