Disney

We had the most amazing opportunity to go to Disney World with my parents.  We knew it would be hard because we hadn't been in our house more than two weeks when we decided to go but it was hands down worth it.  It was especially important that we go because this was an opportunity for my dad to meet Coleman and hang out with Grant.  While timing wasn't ideal we couldn't have made a better decision for our family to go.  Grant was in HEAVEN!  However, I must admit that I don't know who was more excited, Grant to be at Mickey's house or my parents getting to spend some time with their little men!

The first day we got there was all about the pool.  This was my favorite day because all Jeff and I did was relax and let Nana and Papa watch the boys.  Plus, it was so fun to see Grant run through the hotel taking in every piece of Mickey paraphernalia.

Hitting up Magic Kingdom was on the agenda on our first full day.  Grant and Coleman were SUPER excited because they woke up at 4:30am so they could get a head start on the day!  Nana and Papa had planned a special day starting out with a breakfast with Mickey buffet.  It was the perfect kick off to the day.  All the characters came around and took pictures with the boys and gave out hugs.  Half way through the breakfast all the characters busted out into song and dance waving napkins in the air.  Grant couldn't have gotten enough, he took out his napkin and waved it all around too!  When the song was over he kept saying "more, more" it melted our hearts!

Once we got to Magic Kingdom, the excitement of waking up at 4:30 had finally gotten the better of Grant and he passed out. Poor thing couldn't help himself and was out like a light. We even pulled him out of the stroller and took him on Its a Small World ride hoping it would wake him up...nope, he stayed completely tanked out the entire ride. After Grant woke up Nana and Papa took him on the Dumbo ride not once but twice! We ended our day with a show in front of Cinderella's with tons of Disney characters dancing and singing. So much fun!!!

Animal Kingdom was on our next day agenda. We got a little bit later start to the day which we were all fine with. Everyone considered our 7am wake up as sleeping in! Animal Kingdom provided several meet and greets with Mickey and his friends. Grant really liked this and really warmed up to meeting his favorite pals by giving out high-fives and the occasional nose squeeze!

We also hit up a safari ride at Animal Kingdom. Seeing so many animals up close and personal was amazing. Towards the end of the safari Grant was able to spot and point out all the different animals he would see.  It was such an awesome experience to see all the animals in a man made habitat so close to how life would be for them in the wild.  We truly are lucky to have gotten to experience the trip!

Our last day we all were pretty tuckered so we just hung out by the pool and did some relaxing. Everyone got some pool time including Coleman! It was a great ending to our too short stay at Disney. Watching Grant have the time of his life was the absolute best. The only bittersweet part of the trip was knowing that we were leaving my parents and that it would be several more months until we see them again. I do look forward to when Coleman can run and play with his big brother, hopefully at the happiest place on Earth!
